Emergency services on high alert after SA Weather Service predicts thunderstorms for the Lowveld
Emergency service personnel across the province are on high alert after the weather warning.

MBOMBELA – The Lowveld will be experiencing severe thunderstorms this afternoon, according to the South African Weather Service. The weather utility has issued warnings to that effect, indicating which areas are most likely to be affected.

A weather warning was also issued to Gauteng and Limpopo’s residents who will also be experiencing adverse weather conditions, following a week of extremely hot weather.
The MEC for cooperative governance and traditional affairs, Speedy Mashilo, warned communities to avoid power lines and disaster units across the province are on high alert in case of any emergencies arising from the expected thunderstorms.
