Pretty in pink for CANSA

The CANSA Shades of Pink Walk takes place tomorrow afternoon, October 31 at Emnotweni.

Make sure you find any and all blue or pink items in your cupboard and join in the fun for a good cause!

Each entry to the walk gives participants access to a health camp, which will start from 16:00, and the fun run/walk, which starts at 17:30.

The health camp offers free breast examinations (from doctors from SAMA and MWASA), BMI assessments (from Curves), blood pressure and glucose tests (from EMS) and blood grouping and awareness (from SANBS).

The first 100 entries will receive a goody bag. This event is sponsored by CANSA patron for the Lowveld, Yvonne Phosa’s foundation. The newly established Pinky Phosa Solutions Foundation is the brainchild of Phosa triggered by her passion for the upliftment and empowerment of women and children of South Africa.

Curves will also sponsor the event: it has pledged half of the joining fees for every new member in October to CANSA.

This means that for every new member who joins Curves, R400 will go to CANSA.

Entry fees for adults are R90 and children under 12 enter for R50. Enquiries: Pauline Möller on 072-611-2305 or Monique van der Westhuizen on 072-733-9403.
