Former footballer’s son nabbed for speeding outside Mbombela

He is set to appear in the Nelspruit Magistrate's Court on Friday and his name may not be released until his court appearance.

The son of a well-known former footballer was arrested by the provincial traffic officers for exceeding the speed limit yesterday.

According to reports, he had been driving at 178 km/h on the the N4 toll road near Alkmaar.

The Department of Community Safety, Security And Liaison, spokesperson, Moeti Mmmusi said, “He was driving towards Mbombela at the time of the arrest and he is being charged with reckless and negligent driving.”

He is set to appear in the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court on Friday and his name may not be released until his court appearance.
