Former Master of the High Court back in the dock

The pair had allegedly embezzled funds from deceased estates to the amount of R1,7 million.

The former Master of the High Court in Mpumalanga, Bina Mfandifuna Masuku (44),  appeared in the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court today.

Masuku and her co-accused, Elvis Kgosiemang (35), face charges of fraud, corruption and money laundering. The pair had allegedly embezzled funds from deceased estates to the amount of R1,7 million.

She also faced an additional charge of contravening the Illegal Immigration Act.  It emerged that Masuku was a Malawian national who had  falsified documents when she submitted her job application to the Department of Justice.

The matter was postponed to October 2.
