Covid-19: Mpumalanga’s positive cases as of November 8
South Africa has recorded 737 278 confirmed infections, according to an announcement by the minister of health, Dr Zweli Mkhize, on Sunday, November 8. A total of 30 252 of those cases have been reported in Mpumalanga.

According to data released by the Mpumalanga Department of Health, there have been 29 083 recoveries and 607 deaths to date.
The number of positive cases in the province can be broken down as follows:

Ehlanzeni District
• Bushbuckridge: 1 253 cases, 1 174 recoveries and 21 deaths
• City of Mbombela: 5 995 cases, 5 712 recoveries and 61 deaths
• Nkomazi: 2 266 cases, 2 197 recoveries and 41 deaths
• Thaba Chweu: 516 cases and 485 recoveries and 13 deaths.
Gert Sibande District
• Chief Albert Luthuli: 828 cases, 795 recoveries and 20 deaths
• Dipaliseng: 345 cases and 328 recoveries and 15 deaths
• Dr Pixely Ka Isaka Seme: 979 cases, 950 recoveries and 18 deaths
• Govan Mbeki: 3 802 cases, 3 710 recoveries and 60 deaths
• Lekwa: 1 199 cases, 1 119 recoveries and 60 deaths
• Mkhondo: 608 cases, 565 recoveries and 29 deaths
• Msukaligwa: 1 796 cases, 1 685 recoveries and 46 deaths.
Nkangala District
• Dr JS Moroka: 409 cases, 399 recoveries and nine deaths
• eMakhazeni: 482 cases and 459 recoveries and 17 deaths
• eMalahleni: 5 717 cases, 5 579 recoveries and 103 deaths
• Steve Tshwete: 2 920 cases, 2 826 recoveries and 63 deaths
• Thembisile Hani: 670 cases, 645 recoveries and 21 deaths
• Victor Khanye: 467 cases and 455 recoveries and 10 deaths.
