Local artist launches her first music video
Lonita Swift launched her first music video on Wednesday.

The song, titled “Head Above Water” was originally sung by Avril Lavigne. Swift and her manager, Jacques Lombard, were live on Facebook to launch this cover at Urban House. This video, that received great feedback from her fans, was filmed at Flycatcher Castle in Graskop. According to the singer, she drew inspiration from the challenges that people faced over the past months due to Covid-19.
“This is a song about hope for everyone and all those businesses that went through difficult times. My thoughts are with the many companies in the country that had to close down during the pandemic and so many more that are still trying to keep their heads above water,” Swift said.
