A total of 484 care packages were handed out to medical personnel.

Mbombela’s Adopt a Frontline Worker #YouAreSpecial project was started by Linda Venter and aimed to say thank you to those on the frontlines of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Each parcel included a 500-millilitre bottled water, Energades or Powerades, energy bars, chocolate bars, cappuccino sachets, a single rusk, foot cream/gel, and thank you messages with a Bible verse.
The ER24 Lowveld branch manager, Kim Habib, expressed her gratitude for the care packages.
“I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all who came together to spoil our medics at ER24 Nelspruit. It feels amazing to be recognised and helps us carry on during this pandemic. In other words, you made our day!” she said.
Venter said, “I would just like to thank the Lowveld community for their overwhelming support and contributions to encourage medical personnel and to ensure them of the community’s love and prayers in a tangible way.”
Care parcels were handed out to Mediclinic Nelspruit, Rob Ferreira Hospital, Busamed, Kiaat, CANSA, Nelmed, HiTech ambulance services, EmerGmed ambulance services, ER24 ambulance services, ASM clinic, Sanca and the TB Hospital in Barberton.
