The City of Mbombela Local Municipality (CMLM) relaunched the Mbombela Disability Forum on Wednesday. The event was held at the Mbombela Stadium’s auditorium.

Joseph Ngala, the spokesperson for CMLM, said the term of office for the current disability forum had come to an end, hence the need to relaunch the structure.

“This forum will ensure issues relating to and affecting people with disabilities in the CMLM are addressed. It should be composed of all relevant stakeholders and role players. They will be afforded the necessary functions and powers to ensure the forum carries its mandate successfully.

“The municipality’s strategy for people with disabilities is a framework that should provide guidance when dealing with disability issues.

This includes interacting with organisations that represent people with disabilities, interested stakeholders and role players.”
