Sing, dance or act your way to Los Angeles

Applications for auditions are officially open and will take place at Curro Nelspruit on July 3 and 28.

Lovers of the arts’ chance to represent Mpumalanga at the South African Championship of Performing Arts (Sacopa) is almost here.

The newly appointed provincial director for Sacopa, Jana Claassens, said they want to get as many entries as possible.

“There are so many talented young people in Mpumalanga and we want to give everyone the opportunity to live out their dreams.

“Not only do amateur and professional performing artists get the opportunity to acquire provincial and national colours, but this is also the only platform through which you can participate in the World Championship of Performing Arts in Los Angeles.”

According to Claassens, the above-mentioned is also referred to as the Olympics of the Performing Arts.

“We invite all dancers, actors, singers, instrumentalists, models and gymnasts from the age of five to 30 plus to come and participate in the Mbombela auditions.”
