Shandon residents warned about crime after armed robbery
Residents of Shandon Estate have been warned of an increase in crime after an armed robbery on Saturday June 5.

Two residents of the estate were watching television when assailants, armed with guns, entered their home. No one was injured during the incident.
Shandon management confirmed the incident to Lowvelder. It said that a case had been handed over to police for investigation but would not give further comment.
The SAPS did not respond to requests for comment.
Residents have been warned that crime is higher between 17:00 and 23:00 when it is dark but alarms have not been activated and doors have not been locked.
