Babies and toddlers receive nourishing milk

65 children under the age of five residing received milk and food for the month from PCA

Pediatric Care Africa (PCA) handed out milk and baby food to mothers and children in Brondal last week.

The goods were donated by Giving Back 2 our Community (GB2C). PCA secretary Surika van der Merwe said many mothers rely solely on PCA to provide and assist their toddlers and babies with baby milk and food.

“To prevent starvation and the stunting of the growth of small children, it is critical for them to receive age-appropriate food and milk,” said Van der Merwe.

She said 65 children under the age of five residing in Brondal received their milk and food for the month from PCA, “thanks to the generosity of GB2C, without whom we would not be able to continue supporting the small children in food distress, during these very tough times”.

“In this century no child should be left to starve due to lack of food,” she said.

PCA thanked GB2C for its continued support and donations to the organisation.
