Another victorious vaccination day for locals
Mpumalanga's Department of Health had a successful day in Marloth Park and Komatipoort on Friday July 23 when more than 550 people were vaccinated.
Some residents of Marloth Park provided assistance and kept the atmosphere at
the venues positive.
Staff of Nkomazi Local Municipality’s Community Services aided the residents with the vaccination process. Henk van Rooyen Park was the venue for Marloth Park residents, and Komatipoort residents went to the Hervormde Kerk to receive vaccinations.

Businesses in Marloth took the opportunity to vaccinate their staff to ensure health in the workplace.
The first vaccination drive in Marloth was on June 29 when 168 residents over the age of 60 received vaccinations.
On the second drive, the number of people receiving the vaccine almost doubled.
“The long day of vaccinations felt like a breeze as the people were not concerned about the risk of Covid-19 exposure at the venues and kept a positive attitude.
“Teamwork from the Department of Health and residents ensured the community-driven initiative was a success,” said Lisa English, a resident of Marloth, who organised the venues for the vaccination drive. The residents appreciated the effort by the Department of Health to hold vaccination drives in their areas.
Many cannot reach hospitals and medical facilities outside their towns. The Department of Health will organise for another vaccination drive to Marloth and Komatipoort later in August.
