Mpumalanga welcomes new police officers

The Mpumalanga SAPS welcomed 220 new police constables to the province at the Mbombela Stadium on Monday morning following their recent graduation.

The provincial police spokesperson, Col Donald Mdhluli, said the majority of the new graduates were women.

He said the officers were received during a ceremonial event at the stadium following their passing out parade on August 13 at the Oudtshoorn Police Academy in the Western Cape.

The police officers were also cautioned by Manamela to ensure that they protect vulnerable groups in society, mainly women and children.
