The much-loved blues and rock guitarist, singer and songwriter, Dan Patlansky, recently made his Yoons Eatery debut.
He is, however, no stranger to the Lowveld, and his fans could once again enjoy a great performance on the Thursday and Friday, which was well attended.

Patlansky enjoyed performing solo again. It allowed him to play songs from the past and present. He enjoyed the smaller, intimate venue and was able to connect well with the audience.
Audrey Duimelaar, the marketing manager of Yoons Eatery, said, “He amazed his audience with his unique guitar work and had everyone immersed in his rollicking world of blues rock.

“Considering he is one of the world’s premier rock guitar players, he never failed to deliver, and his show had plenty of punch and heaps of soul.”

The eatery said they made sure to adhere to all Covid-19 safety regulations pertaining to indoor events, and sold tickets accordingly.
Duimelaar said the next show will be on August 28, and Bad Peter will be performing. “Guests may expect a folk rock duo made up of PG Badenhorst and Alwyn Bekker. Bad Peter is an energetic band that has a passion for jamming, performing and making music live. You will hear folk, blues, African, pop and Latin influences in their songs.

“We would like to thank everyone who supports the shows we host. By supporting Yoons, you are supporting our South African musicians. While many sectors of the economy have been badly affected by the pandemic, the live music sector has been severely impacted. It is our hope that we will contribute in some small way towards the industry and assist in the recovery of South African live music.”
Duimelaar added that the public may expect another performance by Patlansky soon.
