Rhyno Bishop to appear back in court early next year

The matter will go to trial on February 25, 2022.

Rhyno Bishop will be going to trial in February next year to face a charge of possession of unlicensed and prohibited firearms.

Bishop appeared in the Nelspruit Regional Court 3 last Friday, October 1, and the matter was set for trial for February 25, 2022.

The accused was arrested in May along with another man, Eric Ndlovu. However, charges against Ndlovu were withdrawn later that same month following consultation with the NPA.

Bishop was allegedly found in possession of various illegal weapons, including illegal hunting rifles, rifle barrels, handgun ammunition, homemade silencers and improvised active homemade explosive devices. His first few court appearances were in the White River Magistrate’s Court.
