New contemporary theatre hopes to put the stars in Stardust
In one evening the audience can look forward to hearing him impersonate the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Mick Jagger, Rod Stewart, Meatloaf, Willie Nelson and many others.
The talented singer and impersonator Danny Fisher put up a show at the opening of the new Stardust Theatre at LVCC in Steiltes on Friday.


Fisher and his family run the new theatre. He performed his show, The Voice, during the opening. In one evening the audience can look forward to hearing him impersonate the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Mick Jagger, Rod Stewart, Meatloaf, Willie Nelson and many others.

“We have been in the entertainment industry for a long time and we used to run the Pumpking Theatre in Ballito for about six years before our family moved to Mbombela. There wasn’t much contemporary theatre going on here. There was always a gap for that kind of thing in Mbombela,” said Joanne Fisher-Steyn, Fisher’s daughter.


She said they are running a three-month trial for the theatre and that the local community can look forward to other shows.


“We are looking into getting Barry Hilton, Prime Circle, The Parlotones and other acts to the stage.”
Under normal circumstances the theatre can seat about 250 people.
