Cele to visit Mpumalanga to access police readiness ahead of Local Government Elections

Pienaar has been identified by the police as a hotspot in Mpumalanga Province ahead of the upcoming elections.

As the country counts down the days before the November 1 Local Government Elections, police minister, Bheki Cele, will on Saturday  November 30 head to Mpumalanga to assess the readiness of law enforcement.

Cele will be accompanied by the deputy minister of police, Cassel Mathale, as well as the national and provincial management of the SAPS.

They will visit the Pienaar area which has been identified as a hotspot in the province ahead of the elections.
