Stakeholders work together to fight crime
The Nelspruit SAPS station management conveyed its appreciation for the efforts of different stakeholders in the fight against crime.
The Nelspruit SAPS with Mbombela Traffic, Mbombela law enforcement and security companies conducted a joint operation in which a number of people were arrested.
The operation took place from October 22 to 24 and numerous tickets were issued for contravening various laws.

Tickets issued were as follows:
• Disaster Management Act (failure to confine to a residential place after curfew): 3
• Disaster Management Act (failure to wear a mask in a public place): 3
• Public drinking: 17
• Four people were arrested for possession of drugs while three people were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
This operation came about as a result of meetings with various stakeholders. It was established that stakeholders need to work together to fight crime.
