Annelie Mans instructed the class on how to create spectacular cheeseboards using resin at Nitali Re-Invented Decor in Mbombela.

Some Lowvelders tried their hand at making resin cheeseboards this morning, December 4, at Nitali Re-Invented Decor, as part of the Bietjie-bietjie-Bos festival.
Young and old gathered at the shop at 09:30 this morning for the class led by local art lover Annelie Mans, who showed the attendees how to create a unique cheeseboard using resin.
She instructed the class on applying the base paint on the boards, and then showed them step by step how to mix resin with coloured paint.
Mans also showed various techniques to spread the coloured resin, by either blowing on it, using a hairdryer to make patterns in it, or using ice-cream sticks and toothpicks to make different designs. The result was an array of uniquely beautiful boards of which their creators were very proud once completed.
