Anti-gender-based violence campaign gains momentum
An anti-gender-based violence (GBV) march was held in Lydenburg at 08:00 on Friday December 10.

This march was also held to commemorate the end of the annual 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children campaign.
The volunteers from different charity organisations and businesses met at McGee Ford at 08:00. From there, they walked to the Lydenburg Magistrate Court to hand over a memorandum to the head magistrate asking to protect women and children.

Members of the different non-profit groups, Lydenburg SAPS, Sun Security, Jethro Group, Soli Deo Gloria Centre, Step Foundation, and the CMR were part of the march.
The annual 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children campaign started on Friday, November 26, and awareness is raised till Friday December 10 to eliminate violence against women and children.
