Youngster reaches finals in several cube sizes
Of the four sections in a Durban speedcubing competition, a young Lowvelder made it to the finals in every single one.
Following a recent report on Shannon Manning and his passion when it comes to Rubik’s Cubes, Lowvelder checked in to see how he fared in his first-ever speedcubing competition.
Shannon said it went very well and he enjoyed getting to mingle with people with similar interests.

There were a couple of people who were actual enthusiasts and some were professional. Then there was a bunch of first-timers, especially little kids, who took long to solve their cubes and were just there to have fun.

Shannon said there will definitely be another competition in 2022, which he looks forward to. This year saw two national and one continental record broken.
