N3 Rapid Response: 24 hours, seven days a week and 365 days on call
The N3 Rapid Response Fire and Rescue was quiet for the past few months, but is now active again to assist with emergencies.
It operates in the larger Lydenburg, Ohrigstad (R36), Long Tom Pass (R37), Burgersfort (R37), Roossenekal (R577), Dullstroom (R540) and Badfontein areas (R36).
The team consists of its fire chief, Jacques Meyer, and the fire respondent, Rouxsche Botha.
“We want the town to know that we are back and here to assist in all emergency calls and situations. Whether a cat is stuck in a tree or there is a serious accident, we will assist the community,” said Meyer. Should there be a structural fire or farmers who may need help with brush fires, please contact the team.
