SAPS corners and arrest suspects in Brown Street

A section of the street was cordoned off by the police on June 9 to analise a crime scene where suspects had been arrested.

Three suspects were arrested on the corner of Samora Machel Drive and Brown Street on June 9 in connection with various crimes.

Their vehicle was flagged in another area of the city, whereafter law enforcement mobilised to arrest them, Capt Pieter Smit, the unit leader of the White River Flying Squad, confirmed.

A section of Brown Street in front of Pappa’s Kitchen was cordoned off for the forensic team to analise the scene.

John Meintjies of ACS Security confirmed that a robbery did not take place on the scene, as a voicenote that was widely circulated had originally stated.
