Skukuza staff member attacked by leopard
Following a leopard attack, an employee at Skukuza is on his way to recovery.
A Skukuza staff member who was attacked by a leopard on June 26 is set to make a full recovery after the incident, said the Indalo Wiltshire Golf Club of the Skukuza team.
An update on the employee’s condition was shared via the Skukuza Golf Club’s social media yesterday afternoon, June 29.
“One of our beloved staff members was the unfortunate victim of a leopard attack while he was outside his abode at the SANParks staff living quarters,” the update read.
The golf club said although the employee’s injuries were of a serious nature, it was relieved that he would make a full recovery.
“The entire Indalo Wiltshire Golf Club team has ensured he receives the best medical care possible and measures have been put in place to ensure his family receives ongoing emotional and financial support while he recovers.”

Given the sensitive medical nature of the incident, the golf club has chosen to respect the employee’s privacy and not publish his name. “We kindly ask that this be upheld while he begins the journey of returning to good health.”
SANParks has deployed a team to track the animal to guarantee the continued safety of all staff, members and guests, the update stated.
“We thank everyone who continues to call and offer support, donations and prayers.”
