Business chamber continues to make Lydenburg a priority
The Lydenburg Mashishing Business Chamber (LMBC) installed new cement slabs over the stormwater drains this week.

The LMBC started a project in replacing the cement slabs on the drains. It has proven to be a bit difficult, as many of the frames are bent. Thaba Chweu Municipality committed to replacing the broken frames in July 2022.
Etli van der Merwe, chamber chairperson, said LMBC would like to thank Lydenburg Konstruksie (manufacturing the slabs), Vandernest Furniture (sponsored 10 slabs), Bebels Coffee Express (sponsored 10 slabs) and Bruce James who helped with the planning and installation of the slabs.
A maintenance crew are cleaning areas of the town on a regular basis. Please contact Theresa Boshoff on 072 224 9840 to help continue this initiative. The crew needs refuse bags (to be dropped off at Bebels Coffee Express or The Local Choice Pharmacy Lydenburg), transport of refuse, petrol for the brush cutters and implements.
If other businesses are interested in contributing to this project, please contact Theresa Boshoff on 072 224 9840.
