Car boot sale held in aid of White River SPCA’s animals

The sale enjoyed a good turnout and was supported by the local community.

The White River SPCA managed to raise just over R1 500 during its car boot sale at Casterbridge Lifestyle Centre on Saturday morning, July 2.

Wrapped up in scarfs, beanies and warm jerseys, locals came out to support the SPCA, and some even brought their dogs and cats along for the day, too.

Selling everything from second-hand clothes and shoes to books and plants, White River SPCA chairperson Estelle de Villiers said there was a fairly good turnout for the sale, and that they managed to raise R1 580.

“It is not a lot, but every little bit counts,” said De Villiers.
