Fifth suspect in Gardee case released
The man was expected to appear in the Nelspruit Magistrate's Court today, Wednesday August 17.

The Nigerian national who was the fifth suspect to be arrested in connection with the murder of Hillary Gardee has been provisionally released.
A provincial police spokesperson, Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, said in a statement that he was taken for questioning on Sunday August 14, and was subsequently charged with defeating the ends of justice.

Mohala said the man was expected to appear in the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court today, Wednesday August 17, however, the case had not been enrolled.
He said the National Prosecuting Authority has advised the police to obtain a statement from an expert.
“The suspect has been provisionally released and as soon as the necessary information has been acquired he will be subpoenaed to appear again,” said Mohlala.
