Boschfontein neighbours die as result of a dispute
The two men became involved in a fight in the early hours of Monday September 5. Both men succumbed to their injuries later this morning following the feud.

A fight between two Boschfontein neighbours has led to the death of both this morning, Monday September 5.
According to a provincial police spokesperson, Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, a 41-year-old man and his 31-year-old neighbour had started fighting on Monday at 02:00 in Boschfontein outside Schoemansdal near Komatipoort.
Mohlala said the two men had reportedly been friends before the fight that cost both their lives.

“The Schoemansdal police received a call from the local hospital stating that two men, one with bruises to his face, a fractured jaw and hand and the other, who had been suffered head wounds from an axe, had succumbed to their injuries,” said Mohlala.
“On the police’s arrival, it was established that both victims had lived as neighbours and friends in Boschfontein. It is still unclear what might have sparked the confrontation, but a police investigation is under way.”
The provincial police commissioner, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Manamela, said the incident was regrettable and se has appealed to community members to seek professional help rather than resort to violent behaviour.

“Violence is not even a point to consider, especially among neighbours or friends who experience differences. The two deaths could have been avoided,” she said.
