Limpopo monitors matric learners
The Limpopo Department of Education's MEC, Mavhungu Lerule-Ramakhanya, has urged the learners to approach the preparatory examinations currently underway like the final matric exams.
Lerule-Ramakhanya visited Molautsi Secondary School on Monday to monitor the first day of the preparatory exams. Limpopo has 111 515 matric candidates inclusive of independent school learners currently enrolled to write in the 1 316 centres around the province.

She said the results of the preparatory examinations will give a picture of how the province will perform in the final examination and will also give an indication if the additional intervention will be needed before they sit for the final examination.
Limpopo obtained less than 70% matric pass rate last year and is currently working on strategies to improve the results. The preparatory examination will end on September 23 and the final exams will start after the October school holidays.
