Velvet Blohm put on stellar show at Blue Moon
Jan Blohm and Ryno Velvet formed the duo Velvet Blohm and put on a spectacular show on the evening.
It was a sold-out show at Blue Moon with renowned South African musicians Jan Blohm and Ryno Velvet taking the crowd by storm with their spectacular performance on Saturday (September 24).

The venue opened its doors just before the big game between the Springboks and Argentina, offering guests the chance to watch the rugby on the small screen in Blue Moon’s bar.

Following South Africa’s impressive win against the Argentinians, more people began to crowd the venue in anticipation of the Blohm and Velvet show.

Local singer and musician Stefan Lombard was the opening act, warming up the audience before Velvet and Blohm took to the stage.

Performing under the name Velvet Blohm, the two musical luminaries had the whole venue cheering and singing along, and the end of each song was met with a roar of applause.

The venue was set up with tables and chairs in front of the stage where people could sit and enjoy the act while munching on platters supplied by the Blue Moon kitchen.

The table seating had been sold out before the night of the show, leaving only the outside space available for people to sit with their camping chairs and picnic baskets.

Blue Moon thanked everyone who came out to support and watch the show in a Facebook post following the event.

“We always strive to give you a memorable and beautiful experience when you come to Blue Moon. We would like to thank everyone who came out and supported the live music tonight. We are eternally grateful,” said management.
