Three people killed on D2296 near Karino

The three men died on the scene, while the driver of the bakkie sustained serious injuries. He was rushed to the nearest hospital.

Three males were killed in an accident on the D2296 between Karino and KaMagugu on Sunday, October 2.

According to the spokesperson for the Department of Community Safety Security and Liason, Mmusi Moeti, the accident happened when the three men got off a minibus in order to change a tyre. While they were busy they were hit by a Ford Ranger. All three men died at the scene.

“The driver of the bakkie sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital,” he said.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
