Community organisation clears bushes at scene of horrific accident in Mbombela

We Care 4 Nelspruit recently took it upon itself to clear the area to avoid more accidents from occurring.

Following the recent accident that took the life of Adolph Ndlovu (45), We Care 4 Nelspruit has responded to a call from the community to clear out the bushes next to the bridge where the accident had occurred.

Ndlovu had been driving on the R40 towards White River on December 1, just before 21:20, when a truck from White River turned into Wildberry Boulevard and allegedly swiped his bakkie near the We Buy Cars intersection.
Ndlovu’s bakkie was almost instantly engulfed in flames, trapping him inside. He died in hospital the following day.

We Care 4 Nelspruit’s founder, Pr TJ Maré, said they have been receiving complaints from the community asking for the area to be cleaned up before more accidents occur due to the tall grass. “We had no choice but to respond, because waiting for our municipality to clear the area was going to be a waste of time.

We also don’t want to see more accidents, so we decided to clean it up and make sure that motorists and drivers drive safely at night.”He also said the organisation has taken it upon itself to ensure that where local government fails to meet the community, they step in.

Ndlovu was buried on December 10 in Welverdiend. His family maintains that the truck’s owner has not yet contacted them. “We wish to meet with the truck driver so that he can explain to us what happened on that day, to bring closure to the family, because we are still in the dark.”

The family is also looking forward to meeting Wyane du Rand, who tried to save Ndlovu from the flames. They said they would forever be grateful for what he has done.
