Child Welfare Mbombela race another triumph
The race was organised to fundraise and grow awareness about Child Welfare SA Nelspruit.

Child Welfare SA Nelspruit’s branch has once again hosted its annual Amazing Race on March 11.
Known for its many entertaining activities and exciting prizes, its main goal is to always raise funds for Child Welfare in Mpumalanga. The show was put on hold since 2019, but this year saw old friendships renewed and providing a lot of fun while allowing everyone to contribute to a good cause as well.

The organisation’s provincial manager, Nomfundo Myeza, said the main objective of Child Welfare SA is protecting children in the country from all kinds of abuse and exploitation, and establishing networks and partnerships to ensure the safeguarding of all children.
She also said the focus of the race was more about creating awareness of what Child Welfare SA Nelspruit does so companies and individuals can partner with this non-profit.

“Last weekend, we organised the event to fundraise and grow awareness about our organisation, Child Welfare SA Nelspruit. We want to provide families and friends with some fun and arrange corporate team-building activities in order for them to build relationships with the people they work with and also to build long-term relationships with companies within Mbombela,” she said.



The race was a success as they reached the minimum target of funds to be used for the organisation’s operational costs.
About the Amazing Race:
Each team of four receive clues in various places within the Mbombela/White River boundaries.
All team members have to participate and work together to figure out all the clues until the end of the race. Each team travel in their own car.

Judging and prize-giving takes place at the end of the race.
