Three tavern owners and employee arrested in KaBokweni for suspected mob justice
They were arrested in connection with the six people who were killed in various suspected mob justice incidents in KaBokweni and Clau-Clau.

Three tavern owners and one employee were arrested for allegedly being involved in mob justice incidents that claimed six lives on April 21.
According to a provincial police spokesperson, Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, two of the owners, Sibusiso Shongwe (41) and Hezekiel Mnisi (45), were arrested on Tuesday May 2 and appeared in the KaBokweni Magistrate’s Court today, May 5. They were remanded in custody for formal bail application on Tuesday May 9.
The police investigations led to the arrest of the tavern employee, Adam Singwane (35), on Sunday April 23. He was employed by Aaron Shabangu (67), the third tavern owner, who was arrested on Monday April 24.

Singwane appeared in the KaBokweni Magistrate’s Court today, and he and Shabangu were also remanded in custody for a formal bail application scheduled for Thursday May 11.
All this stemmed from three victims being killed in a mob justice incident in Sifunindlela, KaBokweni. The house in which they were found was burnt down as well. Two others were killed in Khumbula and the last one was killed in Clau-Clau. It is said that these persons had been suspected of business robbery in one of the taverns in Emvangatini, the one the four above-mentioned suspects are associated with.
