The highly anticipated Lowveld Air Show is returning with a bang, promising an exhilarating experience for aviation enthusiasts and families alike.

This year’s event, taking place on May 13 at the Old Nelspruit Airport, will showcase a line-up of captivating acts that will leave spectators in awe. The show will kick off with a spectacular opening featuring the big parachute flag being circled by two Extra 300 aircraft of the renowned Extra Duo Team. This jaw-dropping display will set the tone for an unforgettable day of aerial feats and excitement.

One of the highlights of this year’s Lowveld Air Show will be the debut performance of the magnificent Extra Duo Team with the legendary Nigel Hopkins the leader. Their precision flying and synchronised manoeuvres will undoubtedly leave the crowd spellbound, showcasing the extraordinary skills of the accomplished pilots.

Another act making their first appearance at the Lowveld Air Show are the Marksmen team. Comprising three aircraft, their thrilling performance promises to be a captivating spectacle that should not be missed.

The Airlink Embraer E190, a true marvel of aviation engineering, will take centre stage, offering spectators an up-close view of this remarkable aircraft. Its graceful manoeuvres and impressive capabilities will leave a lasting impression on all attendees.
In addition, the air show will feature a mesmerising firefighting display by the Working on Fire aircraft, demonstrating their bravery and expertise in combatting wildfires from the skies.
