UPDATE: Nelsville now has electricity, but KaMagugu and some parts of West Acres remain without
City of Mbombela teams are still on the ground working to restore power to all of the affected areas.
The City of Mbombela’s (CoM) officials are still working around the clock to switch on electricity in the areas that are still in the dark. It has been more than two days since some residents have been without power.

The CoM spokesperson, Joseph Ngala, said all of Nelsville has been switched on, and the Orchards and Valencia cable faults have been discovered. The estimated time for power restoration is three to four hours, while officials are still doing repairs.
“KaMagugu’s cable fault has also been found, and it has been estimated that it will take four hours to restore the already tested remaining cables.
“Some parts of West Acres have had their power restored. However, the Wilger and

Areas around Block 14 are particularly urged to assist in this regard to ensure a speedy return of energy supply.
