Mbombela’s gifted amateur poets voice their talent

The Words in my Mouth Poetry Slam recently held its season three, episode five instalment, and showcased some of Mbombela's talented young poets.

The Words in My Mouth Poetry Slam again delivered some incredibly talented Lowveld poets to the audience at 420MP on Saturday afternoon, August 26.

The season three, episode five instalment of the Poetry Slam saw an intimate crowd gathered at the venue to listen to and support the performers.
The first poet on stage was Landwandwe Colile, who graced the audience with three of her original poems about life, love and God.

The second poet was Snethemba Ndlovu, who used his five minutes on stage to weave a beautifully written poem about love. The third performer was Sibonginkosi Ncongwane, also known as Mike the Mustard Seed. He was a winner of one of the previous Poetry Slam leagues. He delivered three poems about life and love, the last of which was called ‘Tell Death’.

The founder of the Words in My Mouth Poetry Slam, Menzi Mkhonza, graced the stage with some of his poems.
