Two people injured in R538 accident near White River

The R538 has since been cleared of the remains of a three-vehicle accident, and is now open for traffic to flow freely.

Two people were injured in an accident involving three vehicles on the R538 between Mganduzweni and White River on Monday September 18.

According to Martin Jeffrey of Emer-G-Med, one vehicle was travelling on the R538 from Mganduzweni to White River when another vehicle allegedly tried to overtake it. He said the driver of a third car travelling in the opposite direction tried to swerve out of the way to avoid the overtaking vehicle, but reportedly lost control and hit a bakkie.
