Two vehicle accidents in Mbombela on rainy morning

One truck driver lost control and crashed at a traffic circle, and two other vehicles collided with each other.

An interlink truck lost control while going around the traffic circle on the R37 towards Mashishing at Riverside on Wednesday morning, September 27.

According to Emer-G-Med’s Martin Jeffrey, the female driver had extricated herself.

The truck was carrying a full load of wooden boards. The recovery of the truck has not been initiated. However, one lane is open for traffic.

A collision of two vehicles also occurred on the R40 between Bosch Street and the former showgrounds on the same day. The collision resulted into one of the vehicles rolling.

Jeffrey said the driver of the one vehicles was extricated with the assistance of bystanders.

He said both the drivers suffered neck and back injuries and were transported to Mediclinic Nelspruit.
