Trio and company in Nelspruit court for alleged tax fraud
The three had allegedly submitted fraudulent tax returns in March, causing SARS to pay R780 000 into the company's account.

Sibusiso Herbert Madonsela (52), Thembisile Gloria Madonsela (48) and Sibusiso Ernest Lekhuleni (52), and their company, SHOP MOR Enterprise, were remanded in custody by the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court on Monday October 30 following their arrest earlier the same day for fraud, contravention of Section 235(1)(a) of the Tax Administration Act and contravention of Section 6 of the POCA, read with Section 1.8 and 76.
The case was postponed to Tuesday October 31 for a formal bail application.

During March 2023, the accused allegedly submitted fraudulent tax returns to SARS. In return, SARS paid an amount of R780 000 into the company’s bank account.
During an internal audit, auditors detected the discrepancies and reported the matter to the Hawks for further investigation.
During the investigation, the accused were linked to the fraud. Warrants of arrest were issued. The accused were remanded in custody, and on Tuesday the case was postponed to November 1 for bail judgment.
