Riverside Park walk promotes biodiversity in Mbombela

The outdoor programme allowed locals to witness first-hand the envisioned potential of the biodiversity project of the Riverside CID.

The Greater Riverside Biodiversity Initiative (GRBI) of the Riverside CID took another momentous step in its mission to create a thriving interconnected green space by hosting a delightful family fun park stroll near the Green Valley Estate in Riverside on November 12.

The walk aimed to showcase the significant progress achieved in the development of a green oasis spanning approximately 280ha in the Greater Riverside area of Mbombela.

The general manager of the Riverside CID, Shivon Wiggins, said the walk was not just about exploration and enjoyment, but a celebration of the community’s dedication to the environment.
