Animal hospital in Mbombela requests assistance to find displaced baby birds

Many chicks were displaced during the heavy storm that hit the area on the afternoon of November 21. A local animal hospital now needs your help.

The Van Wijk Street Animal Hospital is asking for the community’s help to hand-rear baby birds that were displaced during the storm on Tuesday November 21.

The hospital sent out a notice saying that many chicks, including three hadedas, had been displaced from their nests.

“We at Van Wijk Street Animal Hospital urgently require volunteers to help with hand-rearing these little ones,” it said. The hospital said it will provide instructions and support to its volunteers.
