Peters made another brief appearance in the Nelspruit Regional Court on December 4, and the matter was postponed to December 11 for a possible plea.

According to the provincial spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority, Monica Nyuswa, Peters’s defence is finalising the paperwork for his plea so that his trial can start. She said if the matter goes according to plan, the long-awaited trial will start early next year.
