Happy Dayz Music Festival rocks Lowveld
Prime Circle, Cutting Jade and Lowveld bands Voodoo Kudu and The Acoustics recently took to the stage for the Happy Dayz Music Festival.
The South African rock band Prime Circle, as the country has known it for the past 23 years, rocked the Lowveld for the last time with its lead singer Ross Learmonth at the Happy Dayz Music Festival at Mustangs – The Dancing Place on Saturday night, December 9.
The band had announced in a statement just a few days before the show that Learmonth would be parting ways, but would still be performing the last few shows they had booked for the year with them, including the music festival in Mbombela.
Lowvelders were also treated to the stellar performance of the well-known and loved South African rock stalwarts Cutting Jade, getting the large audience warmed up, cheering, dancing and clapping for the last act of the night, being Prime Circle.

Local bands Voodoo Kudu and The Acoustics also played for the excited audience gathered at Mustangs, despite the wet weather.
All bands wowed the crowd and there was a special surprise for locals, when Cashel O’Reilly, a well-known Lowveld musician, joined Prime Circle on-stage for two songs.
One of the organisers of the Happy Dayz Music Festival, Stacey Amorim, said the event was very well supported and seemed to have been enjoyed by not only the attendees, but the bands as well.
Amorim said the Lowveld can expect to see more of the Happy Dayz Music Festival in the near future.
