Three male lions were returned to the Kruger National Park’s (KNP) Malelani Section on Sunday February 4, after having escaped the previous day.

“Ranger services activated the airwing and wildlife veterinary services, who tracked the animals, darted them and took them back into the park. The operation took five hours, and fortunately, no one was injured. The animals were also unharmed,” said Phaahla.

He said they are satisfied that the lions are back in the park where they belong, unharmed, and said they are grateful for everyone involved.
