It was a huge shock to the family, as Smit had always been healthy and very fit.

He has been working for Pains Landscaping at the Sabi River Sun Resort for many years and is well known among the locals. He is always friendly and helpful.

Smit and his family want to thank everyone who sponsored a hole or prize, donated funds or who was just there to help.

It was a huge success. They raised a total of R45 858.
