Two trucks catch fire in accident on the N4 near Elandshoek
There were no injuries or fatalities in the accident, however, the road will remain closed until the scene is cleared.

The N4 near Elandshoek is currently closed due to an accident that involved two trucks and one light delivery vehicle on the N4, between the Elandshoek and the Schoemanskloof interchange.

The accident occurred early this morning, May 4. The spokesperson for the Department of Community Safety, Security, and Liaison, Moeti Mmusi, said the cause of the accident is unclear at this stage, however, there have been no injuries or fatalities reported.
“Our officials are currently at the scene monitoring the situation, and since the road is completely closed, motorists are advised to use alternative routes to avoid delays. The road will remain closed until the scene is cleared. At the moment, we don’t know what time the road will be open,” he said.

Mmusi also urged motorists to be patient with one another on the road. When they are tired, they must rest and always adhere to the rules of the road to avoid unnecessary accidents.
