Creatives invited to support Casterbridge art market

The aim of the biweekly art market is for local arts and crafts aficionados to put their works on display, and for the public to show its support.

Despite the most recent art market at Casterbridge not experiencing a big increase in visitors or exhibitors, it was still considered a success as a showcase for local products.

According to the organiser, Elaine Taylor, the number of visitors and exhibitions was very average, and she encourages crafters and artists to share their work with the public and for the public to support these markets, which are held every second Saturday.

“We call on people to support local artists by buying their products while visiting these exhibitions. I also call on artists to become part of it so they can show their work to the public,” she said.
