One person died in a collision between a light delivery vehicle towing a trailer and an SUV on the N4 at Elandshoek last evening, December 17.

Five others were transported to Rob Ferreira Hospital by Emer-G-Med for further treatment of their injuries sustained in the accident.

According to Emer-G-Med’s Martin Jeffrey, the victim was declared dead on scene.
He said they responded to accident scene at 20:40.

The section of the N4 between the Montrose interchange and Elandshoek was partially closed for a short while for the recovery, and traffic was directed via Schoemanskloof. The scene was cleared just after 00:00 on December 18.
