UPDATE | Nature reserves on the Panorama Route managed by the MTPA remain closed
The KLCBT still intends to have criminal cases opened against the illegal protesters at these nature reserves.

Nature reserves along the Panorama Route, managed by the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA), remain inaccessible due to operational disruptions by employees.
On Tuesday, January 21, the MTPA’s spokesperson, Simphiwe Shungube, said the executive management would convene another discussion at 14:00, with organised labour and the employees participating in what it deemed an illegal strike.

“We could not conclude it yesterday [Monday, January 20] due to some technicalities. We are hoping that today’s meeting will assist in this matter being conclude and things going back to normal.” This after Shungube had said the meeting on Monday would result in a lasting and permanent solution to the matter.
Shungube did not release a list of the nature reserves that are affected.
